Getting Along With People

Good Neighbors

by Herbert Jones
think that I have good neighbors. To have a good neighbor you must be a good neighbor. I have always tried to get along with people. You have to treat them as you would have them to treat you. I have never lived where we had a bad neighbor. Some people cannot get along with anybody, because they never show themselves as a friend. Some times people think the only neighbors they have are those who live close to them. We must be a neighbor to those who have fallen by the wayside. We should be like the good Samaritan to our neighbor. When one falls we should be able to help them.

I will never forget January of 1985 when my house was burnt down. My neighbors stood with me. I had churches who came to my rescue and helped me. Some times you don't know who your neighbor is. I had one man who came to my rescue. No one would have thought that he would ever give anyone anything. But he gave me an offering. If you treat them well, they will come to your aid. I hope some day that I can help in return. I had a friend that gave me money to get a down payment on my mobile home.

I thank God for good neighbors and friends.

How to Get Along With People

by James Smith
e are in a world where people are everywhere we go on the face of the Earth. Some of us are different colors, some are tall, some are short and some have different ideas. But, we are not so different after all. We have to learn to get along with all people. If we could just get along with people, there would be no violence or war. The world would be a better place to live. I think that God wanted it to be perfect, but man changed the way God wanted it. We should help one another when we are down sick or don't have food to eat. I think God wants that from us.

Why I Help Someone

by Helen Meredith
y goal is to help someone each day.
To make them feel comfortable along their way.
It may be going to the doctor or grocery store.
Visiting or a little bit more.
As long as they are happy,
What can I say, other than I did a good deed today.
It's a pleasure to help someone who can't help themself to an enjoyable meal, or a short trip or two This makes me feel wonderful before the day is through.
Helping someone is how we should live to give thanks to God, our helper is he.
God will give us more than we can see.
By helping someone. It is great and grand.
That's why I always give an extra hand.
He will return it double fold,
And our returns will be better than gold.

Getting Along With People

by James Wells
etting along with people means giving of yourself, being friendly to others, showing them that you are a good person, and that you like doing for others.

Getting along is what we need to put a lot of time into because we are affecting someone's life with our thoughts and should try to show them how much you love others.

In one of my jobs there is a lady in a nursing home who played a lot of golf. Now that she is retired, she gets a thrill from being able to talk about it. You can see the joy come from her when she talks about her experiences, the fun that she had, and the people she knew. I hope I can be as loving and as caring when I reach her age.

When you express love and care, you will get a greater reward from other people, because you are expressing what is coming out of your heart rather than what is coming out of your head.

The process of using the head consists of thinking, and the process of using the heart is based on feelings. Using the head and the heart together, you show someone you really care.
